The division of processing procedures in the CNC precision machining process of molds

One point of work that should be paid attention to in the processing and manufacturing of mechanical molds is that the work of casting and forging blank parts (such as datum planes, positioning surfaces, etc.) must be completed on ordinary machine tools, and then clamped to CNC machine tools for further processing. Fine machining, so as to better exert the function of CNC machine tools and prolong its service life. In actual work, there are generally three methods for dividing the CNC precision machining process of molds: the first is to divide according to the tools used, that is, the tool centralized sorting method, which can not only effectively reduce the number of tool changes, but also reduce the idle time, eliminate errors;

The second method is to sort according to the processing parameters of the parts, also known as rough and finish sorting. The parts after rough machining can be fully recovered and the precision of finishing can be effectively improved; the third sorting method is the sorting method according to the processing part. The processing order of this sorting method is: processing plane - positioning surface - Machined holes, simple geometries - complex geometries, low precision parts - high precision parts, etc. In actual work, the selection of processing procedures should be carried out according to the specific situation. For example, when processing mechanical molds with small deformation of materials and uniform machining allowances, the first sorting method can be selected. For mechanical molds with unbalanced distribution of allowances and high requirements for machining accuracy, the second sorting method should be adopted.
